Rita Ora introduces her third LP with a mid-tempo tune called “How To Be Lonely.” Penned by “Someone You Loved” hitmaker Lewis Capaldi, the track finds the pop star deep in her feelings – battling insecurity and lack of self-worth.

“He’d tell me that he loved me more than most, that he could be the one to take me home,” she begins the song. “But am I good enough to be the everything that he could want?” By the time the soaring chorus arrives, the Brit has gone into full meltdown mode.

“Feeling like losing you will show me how to be lonely,” Rita belts. “Ain’t nobody can hold me like the way you hold me.” This is nice way to kick off an era.

“How To Be Lonely” isn’t exactly the banger I was hoping for (I still think dance-pop is her true calling), but the track does showcase the “Anywhere” singer’s powerful pipes and growth as an artist.

Jay Electronica & Jay-Z showcase incredible chemistry on Travis Scott-assisted lyrical banger “The Blinding.”

At long last, after many gray hairs and disbelieving scoffs, Jay Electronica has delivered his official debut album A Written Testimony. And if that isn’t enough to entice, consider that the project is basically a collaboration effort with Jay-Z, who spits elite tier verses on damn near every track.

In short, anyone who has been steadily awaiting Elec’s triumphant return can take solace in knowing that the man delivered a solid and lyrically dense body of work.

And while some were suspicious upon seeing Travis Scott as one of the lone features, “The Blinding” stands out as one of the project’s most immediate and sonically intriguing cuts.

It won’t be surprising to see comparisons to Watch The Throne begin to manifest on this one; there’s a back and forth element, futuristic soundscapes, and Scott’s vocals sound closer to a sample than anything. Where the song truly shines is through the emcees, both of whom seem rejuvenated by the other’s presence.

“Listen, I named my son, Sir, so you gotta call my son “Sir,” that boy already knighted, he ain’t even out his romper,” spits Jay-Z, in his opening bars. “You speakin’ on the kingdom, you better watch your tongue, sir, I send you where you never been, you forget where I’m from, sir?” Closing things out is Electronica himself, alluding to his own deliberate tardiness in a tongue and cheek fashion.

“Extra, extra, it’s mister headlines, who signed every contract and missed the deadlines,” he raps. “40 days, 40 nights, tryna live up to the hype, it’s the road less traveled, it’s the one who missed the flights.”

Florida native Ace Hood is letting you know that he’s full of confidence on his latest boastful single. The 31-year-old rapper dropped “Confident” early Friday (March 13) morning with an accompanying music video that, for the most part, only features him as his spits his bars to the camera.

Just last month Ace tied the knot with his now-wife Shelah Marie, so he certainly has much to be confident about. The rapper has been dropping hints about his forthcoming project Mr. Hood, but as of yet he’s only told fans that the album is “on the way.”

If “Confident” is a taste of what to expect, Ace Hood is cooking up something special. This week, his guest appearance on Lil Yachty’s “Oprah’s Bank Account” with DaBaby, debuted at No. 89 earning him his 208th entry.

Aubrey made his first appearance on the Billboard 100 charts on March 23, 2009 with his break-out hit, “Best I Ever Had”.

Since then, the Toronto artist has spent a record of 431 consecutive weeks through Aug. 19, 2017. Six of his 208 Hot 100 entries have hit No. 1. Back in 2014, the 6 God broke the record for most No. 1’s in the Rap/Hip Hop category.

“Man Down” is a song by Barbadian singer Rihanna from her fifth studio album, Loud (2010). Singer Shontelle and production duo Rock City wrote the song with its main producer, Sham.

They wrote it during a writing camp, in Los Angeles of March 2010, held by Rihanna’s record label to gather compositions for possible inclusion on the then-untitled album.

Rock City were inspired by Bob Marley’s 1973 song “I Shot the Sheriff” and set out to create a song which embodied the same feel, but from a female perspective. “Man Down” is a reggae song which incorporates elements of ragga and electronic music.

Lyrically, Rihanna is a fugitive after she shoots a man, an action she later regrets. Several critics singled out “Man Down” as Loud’s highlight, while others commented on her prominent West Indian accent and vocal agility.
